Brown-headed Barbet

Identification - Most commonly seen and the largest Barbet in Sri Lanka. Brown head and breast with streaks, orange -yellow around the eye, greenish body, a large red bill and yellow feet. Distributed throughout Sri Lanka, Most common garden bird. Habits fruity trees or trees with seeds. Seen individually or in Pairs.  

Nesting - Nest in tree holes made in decayed tree branches.
