Dark-fronted Babbler
(Dumetia atriceps)
The Dark-fronted Babbler is a small, plain yet distinctive babbler recognized by its dark facial mask, pale yellow eyes, and clean whitish underparts. It usually moves in noisy flocks through dense undergrowth, forest edges, reedbeds, scrub, and overgrown cultivation from the lowlands to montane habitats. In Sri Lanka it is a fairly common resident of dense wet zone and hill country vegetation.
